MST3K - KTMA Green Slime in HD! - Part 2

Here's some video I shot a couple of years ago at GatewayCon. This is the original pilot episode of MST3K that Joel Hodgson and Jim Mallon used to sell the show to KTMA. As Joel says, it's pretty much a proof of concept to help people understand the idea of what he had in his head.

@bondfool I think the baby was Beeper. He was supposed to be a baby robot. He grew up to be tom servo. :)

It's odd that the SoL set in the pilot was slicker-looking than the Season One version - the lighting and colour scheme are a lot moodier, more like the later seasons.

Joel got better around end of Season 2....Trace was good by the end of Season 1, and became wonderful by season 5. Josh Weinstein was just horrible and used to jump on everyone's lines...he paid greatly for his youthful arrogance and quitting.

Kevin was also very good in the Host segments, a smile type reaction in the theater most times. It became hilarious to me when Bill Corbett became Crow and Mike took over
