Five. The repeats have more foes and obstacles to worry about. Not really surprising given the age of the game, it just loops and loops until you run out of lives.

during stage 1, anyway, if you jump back and forth on top of a fire bowl a few times then you will get a gold bar worth 5000. if you found 2 gold bars you already got one life up... i don't know if many people aware about this secret.

Anyway, haven't you ask yourselves why there are elephants in the background in all stages? Another thing to bear in mind, when you are playing this mysterious elephants' stage, you are on the elephant using an umbrella. However, I don't remember very well what you have to do because I was just a little girl then.

Hey, great job. Let me ask you a question, guys. Am I the only person in the world who played a stage with elephants after the stage 5? I've heard it from only three more people who played it too, but it wasn't a 'secret stage', it came right after you finished stage 5. I was playing this exact version of the game in the Family console (NES). Please tell me we're not hallucinating.

@brisulph I have ever played this game to find an ending but failed. After Stage 99 it went to Stage 00,01... etc.

It's different from some game use A0, A1 or glitchgraphics-0, And it's also different from some 255($FE) or 100 stages dead games such as Duck Hunt or Donkey Kong.

i was never able to beat that swinging rope round and yet i somehow suspected (after playing many more early NES games) that this would be the last stage and the game would roll over to the jumping lion level.
