We are at King's Canyon in Sequoia National Forest. Having the opportunity to play outside in such a magnificent environment inspired many ideas! My teacher, Dramane Kone from Mali & Burkina Faso West Africa, is supporting me on dununs while I play djembe solo. The first rhythm is N'Goron and the second is Mendiani. N'Goron comes from Burkina and Ivory Coast and Mendiani comes from Guinee.

Hope you enjoy the Music and the Scenery. We had an amazing time filming these King's Canyon inspired djembe/dunun videos!!

Thanks for watching :)

  • This is definitely the Burkina N Goron. Ivory Coast's N'Goron traditionaly uses attounblah, balafon and a tall tube drum I don't no how to spell. Oh the big thing is no djembe...

  • Awesome!
