In Part 7 of The Process, Jasons documentary Communion meets up with talented painter Adam Shelton. Someone Jason knew from his art school days, Adam was the one artist in Jasons interview roster who had been able to turn his art into a means of income for himself. After tackling a slew of microphone and lighting problems, the interview was finally underway. With discussion centering on the necessity of struggle for every artist, Adams interview covers a wide breadth of topics from the vails we put on everyday to the vices and demons we must all face.
Jumping back to the set of 9/12, production is wrapping up on the all-night grocery store shoot. Wasting no time, its straight to the editing room to start cutting. This offers a rare look at the old fashioned 6-plate editing tables that films used to be cut on, giving the viewer an idea of how films were made long before computers and Final Cut Pro came onto the scene.
