@SwordPlay2 completely late i know but I agree with you, just because people find work out side of their home country doesn't mean it was because they couldn't find work or they lack the skills to do so. To suggest others wise makes you a sad and pitiful person.

The only way for teaching English in Japan to become a respectable profession is to have it be self-regulating, with a kind of bar or exam like medicine and law and a way to disbar low-quality teachers.

Most young people in Japan live with their parents. They do not have the high taxes, auto, and apartment expenses as in the USA.
If disgruntled Nova instructors cannot find a job in Japan, or don't like the salary, they should do one thing: GO HOME! YANKIES!

In Japan there are many foreigners who are invited as our beloved guests to teach English. Normally, they are paid double Japanese salaries, because they have an amazing qualification: they happened to be born in an English speaking country. Wow! Apart from that, they are unqualified and unemployable at home.

Look I'm not going to deny that getting a job with Nova is retardedly easy. But I fucking left behind a great job and Stock options to teach people english in this country. So fucking drop this "they can't find jobs at home" because thats fucking horseshit.
