  • JIM MESSINA WAS ORIGINALLY WITH POCO !

  • @NJBRAT61 Actually he was first with Buffalo Springfield.

  • Wow, how long has it been? Guess I should go into the storage closet and find some of the vinyl I've got stored away. Pretty sure Loggins and Messina works are hidden in there. Thanks for having posted this. Brings back many wonderful memories from a pretty damn good time. Yeah, there were a few pesky little issues going on, 'Nam, protests, Nixon, etc., but it was a better time. We had no problems when compared to today. Peace of mind was possible back then - too bad it didn't last.

  • @dnkdman You're so right. Things were better then.

  • OK! Let's get this right. The album was titled Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina sitting in. Messina started out just as a produced on the Kenny Loggins album. Messina was such a big influence on the writing and producing and all other aspects of the album that they called the album "Kenny Loggins with Jim Messina Sitting In". The albums was so popular, the public started to call them "Loggins and Messina". The next album was titled "Loggins and Messina".

  • @You are correct that was the title of their debut album.

  • @catman916 Lord, doesn't it seem so? Thank you for posting this. They were, without question, one of the best live bands from 1960-now. I can still, today, let them make me feel better about betraying, lying "friends" who ain't no use.
