It's not finished yet, but you wanted to hear it so we uploaded what we have so far. Our bassist Kiran Weerasekera recorded and produced the demo...and didn't take out the ending -_-

Dire Insanity was first conceived in early 2010 by bassist Kiran Weerasekera and guitarist Joseph Pike. They later recruited vocalist Ben Davie, impressed by the contrast between his harsh growls and singing range, and Antoine Nguyen on guitar. Desiring to create a sound revolving heavily around harmonies they sought out a third guitarist, selecting Rob Norman. Over the next few months they would continue to write new material, on top of songs Kiran had already composed individually, and seek out a drummer -- they recruited Giovanni Cornell-Lombardo.

With their line-up now complete, 2011 saw them refining their songs and evolving as a band, eventually perfecting their material and beginning to play live shows.

Receiving a strong, positive critical response they continue to perfect their craft and 2012 sees them touring around the UK and releasing their debut EP - Distant Worlds.

The band have very diverse influences, being there are 6 members. While the majority are metal, the band take influences from other composers from other genres and countries, such as: Jun Maeda, Tenmon, Taku Iwasaki, Howard Shore, John Williams etc.
The band also take influence from video game composers such as: Koji Kondo, Nobuo Uematsu and Martin O'Donnell.
But their main influences derive from Melodic Death Metal, thrash/groove metal and Progressive metal bands; including: In Flames, Dream Theater, Gojira, Metallica, Buckethead, Blood Stain Child, Lamb Of God and Devildriver.
