  • Love it! And every other video and song from the Babys! Thanks for sharing!

  • Mike Douglas was so good to the Babys.....

  • All of those guys were stone foxes. I'd like this song to be in a movie theme.

  • @The1stBaby wow, cool to actually be exchanging messages with one of the original Babys. I understand the nuances of what you are talking about. I guess the interplay among the two vocalists on Silver Dreams is similiar to what Journey had going on for awhile with Steve Perry and Greg Rollie. Co-leads. Anway, I really enjoy the entire Babys catalogue, i had all the LPs from Broken Hearts through On the Edge. And had Everytime I Think of You on 45 so I basically had them all! :)

  • @ffejbboc Point taken, although we would say that John was indeed singing 'lead vocals' in a part of this song that we always referred to as , 'the bridge.' We would think of parts sung by The Babettes' as the 'backing vocalists' parts. Similarly, I actually play the lead guitar solo in Looking For Love but would also credit Walt for joining me in playing some fine 'lead' guitar play-offs with me at the end.

  • @The1stBaby ....yes, Waite does sing, but not lead, which was my orginal point. Thanks

  • @ffejbboc Sorry to correct you but John DOES sing on this. He sings from 1:00 for 25 seconds. The only song he didn't sing on from The 'original' Babys catalogue was, 'Over & Over,' which wwas sung by and written by Tony Brock.

  • thanks for posting this. it takes me back to my idealistic youth. it's too bad that this song wasn't a bigger hit; interestingly enough, this is the only Babys 45 that I had. still have it, too. just a really pretty song. thanks again.

  • Wow, rare stuff. Love the babys. This is probably the only song John didn't sing lead on.

  • I am pretty sure he played for journey for awhile
