  • hey jeff i was thinking about a bolt action in 223 but then i decided to go with an ar but they all have like 1:9 twist which isnt recommended for lighter rounds. what would the effects be if i did use a lighter round in it?

  • One-in-nine will work very well for bullet weights from 40 to 69 grains.

  • Is the barrel a cut rifled barrel, button cut? do you know who makes their barrels? Is it shaw, douglass, krieger, compass lake??

  • They make their own barrels, but I do not know by what method.

  • Question; Does Anderson used a heavy mil spec buff and USGI M16 bolt carrier / bolt in their bulids?

  • I apologize for the delay in answering. I have been at Gunsite in Arizona shooting some new Ruger products all week, with no access to email.

    Yes they do.

  • Nope - dirt's too rocky by far.

It grows fine here in the lush and fertile Tennessee Valley, though!

  • Does corn grow on Rockytop ?

  • @Gunblastdotcom Thanks for the info. I've been eyeing up Anderson and BCM Rifle Company AR-15's - tough choice because I like both companies and their builds.

  • @Gunblastdotcom Thanks, Jeff.

Yes it does. Quality costs money. Just as they do not grind up rib-eye steaks to make 99 cent hot dogs, quality components make for a relatively high price in an AR rifle..

I have no experience with that one.

It needs to be small enough and light enough to carry everyday, everywhere. For most, that means a small 380 auto or 38 revolver.
