This is a second video I decided to post of manually activated the Simplex 4010 FACP during the day. The trouble is still active but the number of troubles is reduced. Slowly getting the panel back into normal mode. This is still inside the captains office and the strobes/horns are still disabled

  • @InformationCenter. There is a small switch on the main board used to disable/reactivate all horns and strobes.

  • Awesome video. Why does it take so long to reset though?

  • Even with the horns and strobes disabled the system still thinks they are active, only the part of the alarm that stores that info is disabled the main chip still sees them as active and the phone cord is unplugged so the system is still trying to call out because the modem is still active. So the system is also trying to call the alarm company to show the system has an active alarm, once everything finally turns off the system resets

  • If thats yours only a few words: lucky ass punk! I respect you!

  • Yes its mine that I bought myself and gave to my department because we don't have anything to alert us if there is a fire in our station, (Yeah a fire in a fire station, like that would ever happen)

  • When you reset a system when you have the horns and strobes off, do they automatically turn back on after the reset or do you have to go and turn them back on yourself?

  • @JoeWest580 No, a supervisory is an alert to maintenance or other high authority that something is being tampered with. For example, if a water flow sensor was tampered with, it would cause a supervisory trouble.

  • My school has this exact same type of panel and color, with only 1 trouble. There's also a simplex 4009 ID-NET NAC extender, wich ive never heard of. Its right next to the 4010.

  • Nice panel. Is it brand new?

  • How can you test the system in "silent mode"? I get an email at work and they say they are working with the alarm company to test the alarm in silent mode and if a horn sounds to ignore it. Is there a way to silence the alarm sounders?

  • cool

  • So, whenever the red light to the far left is blinking or on, the alarms are activated?

  • Did you get all those troubles cleared up?
