'Leishmaniasis' is a deadly tropical disease which affects around 2 million people a year. It has become increasingly resistant to drugs. A chance discovery showed a cancer drug undergoing tests had some extremely useful properties.

Whatever them maggots excrete that keeps them from dieing themselves from it....that is the cure. I was given methodonazole once after 2 iv's of something...u.s. Dr's are too chicken shit to say what I had- just said a protozoan; WTF? I still feel like shit 10 years later- welts all over my neck- swollen glands.The Dr's are useless

This disease infected my dog... :( we had to put him to sleep because of Visceral Leishamniasis and cardiac complications. I'm from Portugal.
