All horses are like that especially when you scratch them on a very itchy spot the horse's reaction is to return the fav! you scratch my back,I'll scratch your's! That's what my mare used to do. thanks for sharing sonja2451!

you all worry too much about horses biting. The owner and her friend were simply having fun, which us dumb horses tend to do alot btw....it's not like they're letting him do his backrub to just any tom, dick or harry. They're having fun, or have you all forgotten about fun??? Get a life with or without horses, you're choice. My choice, with and with fun!!!

The horse's massage response happens when you rub his belly (his owner was on the other side of me doing that). I've seen other horses do it, too. You rub their bellies, they massage your back!
