Those children were forced to convert because of the Catholic church. They are entitled to know the truth of there families.
They are stolen children by the Church.
G-OD bless theme all.

@Yitzhakhazak I know what your saying, but it would be in Israels best interest, as a jewish state, to still welcome back all those whose parents or grand parents were Jewish regardless if some are Christian or willing to consider conversion to judism. The ultimate goal should be to return all the lost sheep: it was the will of those persecuted, for sure, and for those who are Christian they are still sons and daughters of Abraham.

The main thing for the Anusim is returning to Judaism and not insisting on remaining Christian. Israel officially accepts persons whose one parent or grand parent is/was a Jew. It might feel sad to you but if you remain a Christian you are denying something that was so important for the people of your roots that they sometimes chose death. Eat the cake or leave it!

This has been a wonder thing, but many Israli leaders are more willing to embrace those who want to convert than those who want to remain Christian. It is sad

Continuing: A confirmation of their Judaism by "brit", circumcision for the men, by "mikveh", ritual cleansing for all of them and a course in Jewish living would be sufficient. New Jewish blood from other communities and Israel would be very useful too.
I would suggest one or two Ladino speaking rabbis from Istanbul or Izmir so they can communicate more intimately.
Building a synagogue is the first thing. Demanding excuses and reparations from the Spanish Church would be the second one.

Firstly, Freund omitted the most important factor: the existence of Israel as the Jewish State, a state that has excelled in the producxtion and handling of armament. Israel is a source of courage.
Secondly even the instinct of hiding has its limits in time. It is time, now, for the Jews of Mallorca to show themselves as the Jews they are. Consquently, the term of "conversion" is the wrong one; "hozer" as in return would the right word.

Mi abuela es de la Palma de Mallorca y era Sefardi. Su apellido era Llanera. Que HaShem bendiga a todos los judios de Las Palmas. Shalom.
