"Sable" TV intro (1987)

This show wasn't a success...it only lasted seven episodes...but, I have a special fondness for it. The network, ABC, rushed it into production to fill a hole in the schedule, and the show wasn't properly developed. More clips to follow. This main title was by the great Sandy Dvore.

Two pilots of the show were made. Gene Simmons stared in the first but was replaced.

No, that's Lewis Van Bergen who replaced Gene Simmons. Simmons can be seen early in the pilot when it's so dark. Because of the lack of light, it was decided a reshoot wasn't needed.

There's been some interest in a big-screener, probably more like the comic. Believe it when you see it.

I remember this show and I still have some comic books that inspired the series. As any tv series from the period it looks so dated now.

Worked in the production office for the Pilot and few episodes.  Gene Simmons was sooooooo awful in the pilot that he was quickly replaced by Lewis Van Bergen. It took so many takes for each one of Gene's lines. Gene wasn't he only problem.... director, Gary Sherman was ill equipped, and the rest of the company was mediocre, both in front and behind the camera.

A man with a mission...... justice! that was a very good show, the intro is genious! Van Bergen with a nice tough look, Renee Russo..... gorgeous, and cheesecake..... crack me up with his coments and jokes.

I remember watching the last episode o the series . The main character was killed. One of the final scenes was the police found his body and his funeral.
