Rusty Cooley - Betcha Can't Play This March 2008

I've seen tons of DVDs and videos of Rusty, and my biggest gripe with him is that he really doesn't vary his soloing at all. He seems so stuck up on being fast.

And I realize Rusty can play clean, I've seen other videos where he is flying and it sounds clean. All I meant was this lick doesn't sound as clean fast

He isn't hitting random notes, that's not what I meant. I'm saying when he plays this lick slowly, he picks one note at a time. When he plays it fast, he picks some notes twice but not all of them. I'm just saying his faster picking isn't as consistent as his slower picking. And I realize guitar isn't a competion, I'm all about just jamming and having fun, but I'm just saying MAB is consistent with his picking, fast or slow. That's why Rusty's lick here doesn't sound as clean fast
