No, they ruined the game. This trailer is nothing like Borderlands; the graphics are cartoonish and 1990's at best, I don't care that they're trying to be original...Be original but not at the expense of graphics in the 21st century...dang! The weapons are simple, and there aren't many of them - rifle, pistol, shotgun, with different layout and some effects but they are all the same. And it's not less serious now - it's just a joke. Thanks for ruining what I was looking forwards to for ages.

you do realize that this is a cinamatic trailer, its a concept trailer and if the graphics were any different it would ruin the game (i think its awsome) and you obviously havnt delved into the game much the later on in the game the better the weapons and loot next time when you "reveiw" somthing dont make it opinionated and play the god damn game!

i like this, and this trailer got me excited for the game. the planet looks beautiful, and the game looks like it would be serious, but also have a great narrative. I think the final product is still great though. i think that the borderlands now is the same thing, but they changed the story to be a little less serious, the enemies/vehicles still look the same. and this lady from the trailer is still in the game (Helena pierce, in New Haven)

Ive played with people like that too. I try to just stick with friends who give and take and work off of what we prefer to use with each particular charactor.

I'm gonna catch a lot of flack for this but...

I wish they had stuck with the original art style, if only so they could spend the time working on the features they promised, like an actual open world and more than 7 kinds of enemies. (Bandits, Rakks, Guardians, Skags, Crimson Lance, Scythids, Spiderants).

I agree with you on the whole thing with the design but take into consideration Fall Out 3 you can count on 2 hands how many different enemies there are. Its still a great game though.

@Grug16: It's true. But then again I'd rather have the cartoonish style - which I absolutely adore - and develop the enemies. I don't understand how the fact that 7 types of enemies remotely could have crossed their head as okay.

Yet that wouldnt have happened. I'm more for the environment than the game - I know I'll raise a shitstorm from the gamer crowd. But truth be told - I'd rather be immersed than pleasured based on gameplay. It would take very few things to change my mind.
