@groomlake67 I like that fast lens, and the auto focus it uses, very useful for street photography. But the one guy has a point, the S95 is good to slide into a pocket, and good for sneaky street stuff. But, like most cameras today, I hate the fact there is no view finder. Its to obvious that you are taking a photo with both those cameras than with something you can just slide up tp you fave and back down.

Oh, and about the Leica being the same camera as the LX5. The software and so on is not.

Lieferung war Reibungslos, die Kamera ist top, wie die Akku-Leistung ist, wird sich noch zeigen. Mit der SD-Karte kann man eigentlich nichts falsch machen, und die Tasche ist gut gepolstert. Aber als ich das Stativ auspackte, musste ich erstmal lachen - das Ding ist zw. 10 und 15 cm! groß, ...

Funny how he is kind of "OK" with the LX5 here - But he is estatic over the Leica D-Lux5.

But the cameras are identical - electronics, chip and even the optics :)

... and he did not mention that it is usually available in Black and not the ugly white thing he had there if we talk looks. He even needed a "pro" to bash it...thats funny and kind of desperate. let me tell you all a secret- at this moment you wont find more value for money than with the LX5 - go out and try it ;)

He says the s95 doesn't have zoom or tracking focus in video mode. That seems a bit crap.
