Gummo showed the mental dirt of lower class. Julien Donkey-Boy shows the garbage in the minds of the middle class.
Not nearly as cohesive as Gummo, still has some merit.

@coffeefish I think you mean pretentious? There is a lot more to cinema than what Hollywood stand for (not presuming that is your opinion though). Cinema doesn't have to be coherent, it can be as simple as somebody wanting to express themselves in a slightly unorthodox manner.
