Excuse me, but this 'young punk' does-he just doesn't listen to classic tunes all of the time.

These guys, Question Mark and the Mysterians, Eric Burdon and the Animals(to name a few), were typical of that great, blusey, street-tough sound that was so 60's. My junior- high days. What a time! Awesome music.

I was in a band called The Trip, local band from San Gabriel Valley, CA. We played a gig one night at a place called The Music Machine and did Dirty Water and Good Guy Don't Wear White. During a break Tony Valentino (guitarist) and Larry Tamblyn came up and chatted with us. Thought that was pretty cool. About 18 years ago.

Don't know anything about the history of Standells, but Paul Downing is down has an ex member. I guess he wasn't an orginal member, and maybe played with them after their chart success.
