Getting Off The Grid - Les Stroud - Part 1 of 7

Les Stroud is very good, but in this video I could do without the "Can we save the Planet?" thing, I think the planet will do just fine no matter what we throw at it, so long we don't go redneck Nuke crazy on eachother.

Les stroud is so wickedly awesome.

Well, escapism won't solve the problems we face now and in the future. Imagine everybody packs their stuff and moves away, leaving everything behind. That won't work, think of sick, old or disabled people. Our society grew into our self-established and unnatural environment and we have to solve new problems. There is no perfect way of living, like a paradise. Facing and solving our problems shows our real strength and virtue and that democracy prevails.
Of course, for a holiday, count me in. :)
