Interesting argument... however, Light DIDN'T win even after killing L. Odds are that if L had continued investigating for only a bit longer, Kira's reign of terror would've ended a lot sooner. The only way that Light could've won in actuality would've been to have more competent accomplices. The only candidates that come to mind are L, Near, or Mello... however, they were all too pure to consider aiding him. Light simply lacked the foresight to notice the futility of killing L.

@ilikepie9097 Put yourself in Light's shoes... If you felt as confident as he was about "cleansing the world", you would see how L was his greatest threat standing in his way, and he knew that if he wanted to succeed, he would need to eliminate L.

Don't misinterpret what I'm saying, I love L, but I like Light as well. I was stunned when L died. But I understand why he did it...

The thing that upset me most about L's death was in the scene of his death when it shows his eyes closing (And in other scenes too) , L looked so innocent (In my opinion) and the thing that I hate most about Light is that he could look straight in those innocent eyes and know that he was going to kill L, and that he look stariaght into them and still smiled as L died. when L died I stopped watching.
