Forgive me for being a braggart, but I honestly have to say that this is one of the best -- if not THE best -- thrift store finds I've made in a long time! Those of you who are familiar with this first-class German wonderkind know that brand new, it sells for close to $800. This one, on the other hand, cost me a whopping $7.99 at the Salvation Army store in Kenmore. (No, I am NOT kidding ... send me a personal message if you're so inclined and I'll send a few pix of the price tag that I snapped just before I removed it from the cleaner!) I have no idea why this machine was given to the Salvation Army, but when I got it the hose was clogged up with a child's knitted coin purse and the exhaust filter was falling off the machine. I brought it home, cleaned it up, and the rest (as they say) is history!
