  • Wowza. Tough words Rick, but as per usual bang on. Never have I seen a more uninspiring group of candidates. Jack, what's happening to your party?

  • The problem is; Jack died, and he was carrying the party this time around. He inspired Canadians to take a chance on a higher number of NDP seats, and without him, the sad fact is that the party will once again fade into the background.

  • @crimrose the Liberals and NDP want to destroy Canada, They want to run all business out and turn the entire country into grey workers paradise like the former soviet union. You might like wearing potato sack clothing and eating gruel, but I enjoy something called FREEDOM, and if you don't like freedom, you can get out.

  • @Southparker100000000 Because we're not just liberals, or conservatives, or NDP, or something else. We're all Canadian, and believe it or not, we are all on the same side. We all want what's best for Canada even if our way of getting there is totally different, and our ideals may be different. It's people who think like you do that divide the country and have us warring among ourselves. If we are ever going to achieve anything, we have to find a way to work together.

  • @Southparker100000000 Would you quit using "liberal" as some kind of insult? Because it's not. It's a political party and a political ideology. We need liberal ideas and we need conservative ideas and more than that, because if we divide everything like you seem to, "them" and "us", all of Canada loses. It's only by taking each side's ideas and coming up with some sort of compromise that we can ever achieve something the majority is happy about.

  • @Ra0s Mercer does too. The thing is, if you can't make people interested in your party, then nobody is going to pay attention, and nobody is going to vote. That's his point. There has to be something that is engaging, otherwise people just do not watch.

  • Something tells me this guy is a conservative!!

  • @Rudeaudio lol the classic liberal switch tactic, you would rather have the Liberals or NDP in charge? both of which did not even receive close to a third of the vote. See your narrow minded liberals way of thinking debilitates you when it comes to logical analysis.

  • If you take all the actual comedy attempts in the show you get about 3 minutes per episode.

  • @Southparker100000000 lol at attempting to prove a point by calling someone retarded. Fact is most of Canada DID not vote for Harper. That is a fact, call it retarded all you want. Someone who receives barely a third of the votes in this country does not represent the concerns and needs of the country as a whole

  • What a crock. If you'd rather be entertained like a child by a troupe of ill-tempered banshees go to the zoo, politics is supposed to be different. And a political party is supposed to stand for a membership with a cohesive political philosophy, that the leadership candidates agree with each other on major points is a *good* thing. Though Mercer would apparently prefer melodrama, I prefer responsible politics.

And I'll bet he then gets his noise out of joint when Parliament is "dysfunctional".

  • @BoredomCorner Ah the fallacious philosophy that the approval of the masses actually makes someone correct. Sometimes I think liberals like yourself are trying to be this retarded. But them I realize, that if you weren't so mind numbingly retarded you wouldn't be liberals would you?
