Platoon 1034 August to November, 2 1967 went back 2 years ago they shrunk the parade deck for the new squad bays. Steam pipes are still there, and the young recruits are outstanding.

@NKGMAN Hi again NGK ~ Plt 2031, 2ndBn, Aug-Nov67. 3rd Herd had the best Messhall in the Corps during 1967, according to Leatherneck Magazine's annual contest. We of course stayed in the 3rdBn barracks during Rifle Range. Those brick bks had central airconditioners ~ but they never turned them on!
Nice to see Chrome Domes and M-14s again! I even recognize some sandfleas I knew by name back then.
Where were you in Nam? I didn't get there until 1969, and you guys had the war won by then!
