Video of a massive Shelf cloud from May 8th 2007.
A supercell formed ahead of a line of storms near Throckmorton, TX in the early evening hours. It produced at least one reported tornado before we arrived on the scene and had a nice wall cloud and broad funnel for a while once we arrived. It was very quickly 'eaten' by the line of storms appraching from the west, and as we passed through Olney it had morphed into an absolute beast of a shelf cloud. Unfortunately, we were overtaken by it and barely made it out ahead to take the video shown. The speed of the shelf cloud was immense with us barely keeping ahead of it as it followed us through to Decatur where we called it a night.
yeah as much as i want to stay and watch this id probably shit my pants and run.
