Facing Race 2010's opening plenary, "The Future is Now: Framing a Viable Vision for Equity"
The current U.S. economic crisis sets the stage for boldly rethinking all facets of society's structural inequities. Casting a futuristic eye towards a generation ahead, how can we reframe today's key policy issues with a viable path towards racial equity and social inclusion? What would an advocate from 2030 say about crafting racial equity efforts in 2010, in order to re-imagine and redefine the meaning of a civil society?
