Sorry, but I was CLEARLY AWARE of what was happening when they did me and BELIEVE ME having a tube snaked down your throat is a VERY DISCONCERTING feeling!!!

I'm having mine done at 3pm today and I haven't slept a wink. All I wanted to know was wether or not versed made you sleepy and I got horror stories instead. Your video actually gave me hope and helped me relax. I think I can finally get a bit of rest now. Thank you so much for posting this. :)

Guys, the EGD takes about 15 minutes to do.
The only thing is bad about the prep part is - they will spray something into your throat and that does not taste very good.
Beside that you cannot tell a thing. They knock you down. 15-20 minutes later you wake up. And ready to go home (somebody needs to drive you - even though you can drive after 30 minutes, they don't want u to).
Don't make a BIG deal out of it. It's NOT a surgery. it's JUST a TEST.
