Former residents of a rural Sacramento Valley community tell stories of growing up in their "wide-open" neighborhood during the 1920s, 30s & 40s. Interspersed with period photographs and rare newsreel film footage of a nationally known Chinese-American festival, "Bomb Day--Sories from Marysville's Chinatown", provides viewers with an up close and personal glimpse into one of northern California's last Chinatowns
Very interesting, I actually took care of Katie late in her life...her family was wonderful and I enjoyed Katies stories of Chinatown and Im glad to see her included in this documentry...I have been told time and time again she was an important figure in Marysville for the Chinese people.
