what a soft spoken person Rafi was...I always consider him a saintly person...even with so much of success, he responded with such humility, with that famous smile..God bless his soul..

Guys just imagine @ 5:17 he is asking the same eternal question
Puraney gane kyon ache hote the?
Now this is in 1979, and they thought that songs in 1979 were not up to that standard. And look at Rafi sahib, he agrees and points to gems of earlier era. And same is today's situation, we refer to songs from 60's and 70's as classic. Looks like no one is satisfied with what they get, God forbid , down the line 20-25 years, some body saying Munni Badnam & Sheela ki jawani as classic songs. LOL!

kon kambaht hai jo rafi sahib ko dilike kar cuka hai

Rafi is famous from his beginnings like Lata... But Kishore gets fame at later stage like Asha... And I think Rafi is better than Kishore...

Priceless audio interview. Thank you for posting this audio. It is sad that there are no too many interviews
with Rafi sahaab. Truly a gem.

@saurabh88NATURE I wanted to hear O duniya ke Rakwale in KK's voice...he would not even stand in Rafi's shadow !!

@saurabh88NATURE:Better Late than Never.I am a new comer. You may like Kishore Kumar but you should not compare with Rafi Sahab.Rafi Sahab is un-parallel Unique and only one like one GOD. Kishore was alright for Chutkule Geet. Like O.P Nayyer was a good Musician but he cannot be compared with Aadi Narayan Rao or D.V.Paluskar or Naushad. Never mind my saying so.I could not help. Your wife should be very beautiful in your eyes but not to everybody. But a Rose is a Rose for its fragrance.

Immortal...
the gentleman taking the interview has missed the point, that people want rafisaab to speak more, not the moron, the challenge was to get demure rafisaab to talk, rafisaab- a man who had been a legend is simplicity and modesty at its height, and here we are with people who cant rise above rafisaab's boots, shedding heavy discourses and creating high decibles

How simple he was!!!! The greatest singer, the world has ever seen....Rafi Sahab is a `scale' with which the level of the new singers are measured -definitely none, till now could produce the emotions created by him.....Rafi Sahab, hamara dua hai aap ke liye.... - Kamarudin, Cochin
