200+ anti-war activists confronted the Army Experience Center, a military recruitment video arcade, and WE shut it down for several hours! The center was filled with the Gathering of the Eagles, a pro-war motorcycle gang, during this time NO youth were able to get in and be recruited. Our message was clear "War is Not a Game," and stop Obama's war in Iraq and Afghanistan!

  • @DigitalAngel22 It's a horrible choice if your country is in an imperialistic mode invading countries on 'bad inte' (colin Powell), killing 1.34 million people (iraq - see how this figure was arrived at at just foreign policy) without any remorse. Now we are ready to invade Africa, for they have abundant oil fields and mineral deposits as well. Check out the activity of Africom. And check out School of the Americas Watch. I believe in an army for defense, but to enlist now is immoral.

  • @madebutante Fair enough argument.

But this doesn't hold true to all soldiers. I am a soldier myself (paralegal). Ive been deployed, once to Afghanistan. I never saw combat, and have just recently finished my Masters in Criminology from UCI. I can't say my experiences will hold true for all recruitees, but to automatically dismiss the military as a horrible choice in all is a bit excessive.

  • @DigitalAngel22 Alot of our kids need help = when recruiters go tot their schools and ttell them they will have money for college (less than 1% complete college, mostly due to having ptsd), that they will learn the skill of their choice (lots of recruits are shovelling shit to brn in Iraq - now afghanistan)...it's very good marketing they use...obviously kids aren't smart enough to go and die for BP and Exxomn Mobil.

  • @quincychild We need a military..you're simplicistic...to think we don't..but one that kills for oil profits? That's not even american..

  • @quincychild Oh yeah, when you see your friends come back crazy w/PTSD, and w/ no limbs...yeah..it's chill...huh?

  • @AscottW they arent currupting us i go there all the time they dont pressure u all they have u do is play tournaments i do them all the time for the video games there is recruiting there but it is oviously optional to sign up. Im eighteen and they have never once asked me anything about joining the service of any branch ever. So i wouldnt say anything unless uve actually gone there and seen what its like... why cant people see that the government isnt as bad as they were thirty years ago

  • @madebutante jeesus chill its a mall if u want to make progress go somewere else friggin tree hugger becuase im pretty sure there arent any wars being faught in a mall and the only thing going on there is recruiting and its up to the free will of the person to enlist so unless u can take a persons free will away just stop.. before u make urself look like a mega tree hugger.

  • Kids nowadays aren't retarded. We live in the age of quick & acessible information; namely Google. They know that war 'isn't a game'.

Any kid(s) who believe otherwise need more help than just shutting down the AEC.

  • I actually only knew about this when I watched "Frontline: Digital Nation" on PBS. This is completely horrible. However, this isn't unexpected. America is a very militaristic country. We teach our kids to be very militaristic and very paranoid by teaching them to distrust people who are different from themselves. The AEC should be considered a form of corruption of minors and shut down. I guess in saying so I'm some jihadist anti-american terrorist. But, narrow minds beget narrow views.

The reason we were attacked is because of how the US has historically INVADED OTHER COUNTRIES FOR PROFIT AND EMPIRE. Why we invaded Mexico, the US originally - for empire - Columbus wanted riches for Isabella and the church, i Latin America (read School of the America Watch and you will see a list of many democraccies the US has overthrown) Sorry to be the one to shine the light in your eyes, but if you really love this country, you have to address how off it is.
