Put in some bareknuckle pickups - they blow emgs away
-
You need valve amp distortion man! I love my 500T too, but you should check into Seymours JB 4, it really gets the Metallica sound!

Dude, would you post a lesson or tabs for the verse? Great cover btw

Dude im building a Explorer, and it needs passive pickups, what pick ups would you recommend for a metallica-ish sound?

@SchecterSYNful the Gibson 500t and 496r are very good for chuky rythms and solo playing.
Also, you could check out the Seymour Dunkan distortion for the bridge and the 59 for the neck. They will get that metallica sound too, but i prefer the gibson pickups, because they have a more thrashy 80's sound

dude i have a gibson v too. i am thinking to put emg's what is your opinion?
george90695 1 year ago
@george90695 you definately go with that!!
emg pickups add more gain and defenetion to your sound, unlike some other pickups.
If you play metal and you want that 80's thrash and very nice clean sound at tha same time, emg pickups are what you are looking for!!

nice cover :D what is your gear?

@Reetunator thanks!!
i use a Gibson Flying V, 67 model, marshall mg10 amplifier, line 6 pod 2.0 and a distortion pedal, specifically the metalplanet from rocktron.
Right now, the gibson is a bit different, because i have made some changes on it. ( Floyd rose, emg pickups)
