Miss being a little kid. I used to walk around with a play microphone and perform to these songs. Childhood was so good in the late 80's early 90's

This was my favorite song ever as a child! I used to try to copy the dance and failed miserably when they kicked and spinned haha and she is blatently singing to the whole band because Didi is worried about the tour being over and Barbie is saying because they're all best friends that it'll be fine. Well, thats my interpretation anyway. Thanks for posting this! x

@RavenFan4eva The song, when heard alone, sounds like a girl singing to her boyfriend. In the video, it's treated in the context of plain friends. Jem was also guilty of songs that didn't quite fit the situation."You May Be A Star" uses the word "girl", when the song is being sung to a boy: This is cheaply glided over by the out of place appearance of Pizazz. "Between Me And You" not only sounds like a girl accepting a POOR boy(cue rich guy), but the song sounds like it was meant for Aja/Craig.

I really don't think she was singing it to just Ken, I think she's addressing the whole group...because they were complaining that the tour is over? In fact, in that scene, Ken is the ONLY person who DOESN'T speak.

@RockLeesBitch The lyrics of the song make more sense when taken from the point of view of a girl whose boyfriend is her best friend. The video chose not to follow this train of thought. Jem did the same thing many times. Listen to the lyrics of "Bad Influence", and then watch the video in "The Bands Break Up". The very last lyric takes the tone of the song from being the warnings of two people warring over the same friend to the warnings of two rivals competing for the same guy.

@MollyAnnMissie Hmm, so I've misunderstood the description, you meant the song out of context of the Barbie video is a lovers' song?

@RockLeesBitch Yup.
