Les Rita Mitsouko was a French pop rock group formed by guitarist Fred Chichin and singer Catherine Ringer. The duet has stated that the name "Rita Mitsuko" originates from the combination of Catherine Ringer's childhood friend and the name of a meal they enjoyed in a local Japanese restaurant soon after they met.
Don't forgive the night was originally relased in 1982 as single and then in 1984 as a bonus track of their self titled debut album, which combined elements from punk ,jazz and synth pop and contained the first band's hit ''Marcia Baila''
On Wednesday 28 November 2007 Fred Chichin died from cancer, only being diagnosed with the disease two months earlier, while touring for their seventh and eventually last album ''Variety''.

  • Cette chanson rappelle aux sceptiques que Catherine et feu Fred n'ont pas à rougir face au Velvet Underground et autres Bowie. Les Rita ou le choc culturel qui me rend fier d'être français.

  • beau, court, brut, mélodieux : viva rita mitsouko
