This video is dedicated to the memory of "Electronic Auteur" Stephen Tom who passed away on that fateful day of May 13th 1978 when he accidentally spilled a drink of water on the power unit of his, own made and one of a kind, experimental synthesizer which he dubbed "The Airloom 78X".
Jeremy Lamb, who had earlier collaborated with Tom playing flute for Jazz Combo "Elephant 3", was present at the time and was quoted:
"I remember, one minute the sesh is just going wonderfully! We were pioneers! The stuff he was throwing out was beyond any mortal understanding..... I remember looking up at him and smiling thinking 'Damn! We've done it! We've crossed the threshold.." and then it happened..... a loud kinda bang and then Steve was flat on his back. At first I thought it was one of his pranks... you know how much he was known for them.... but he was just lying there with this odd look on his face and then he said it."
Stephen Tom's final words to Jeremy Lamb were "Stop looking for answers and start looking for questions."
Stephen Tom 1955 - 1978 Never forgotten.
