Hoard Review
Dragons, Princesses, Flames and Gold.
For our first review on the new shifted2u.com we jammed on Hoard for the Playstation 3. At first sight you may think that this looks a little too basic and bland with the graphics being compared to games from the 90's. But after just one game, we were hooked.
In Hoards main mode, Treasure, you play as a Gold Loving, Fire Breathing Dragon with a goal to collect as much gold as possible within the time limit. This is done by roasting the nearby villages, people and crops. You can also make towns fear you, when this happens they will constantly send you gold and not fight you when you fly by.
A main peeve that we wish you could do is having the ability to still move while breathing fire instead of putting your dragon in park when you feel the need to roast something. If you look past that you'll be alright.
After you hone your skills you can try and spice things up by playing against up to 3 cpu's or even hop online and test out those homemade hoarding skills.
This game packs tons of play time, but the price tag of 14.99 might shy you away until it drops below 10 bucks. But if you have 15 dollars to burn this game should be where it goes.
Pros:
Highly addictive, multiplayer, Reason to play playstation 3 again
Cons:
Graphics, fire breathing e-brake, price
Protip: dont put a phaser on your voice, it sounds odd.

At first the not-able-to-move-while-shooting thing irked me, but it became clear that it's a real gameplay mechanic: if you could move while shooting, the wizard towers and giants would be so much easier to kill, and the fireball power-up would lose much of its power (or gain, depending on the situation). Very addictive, but right now there's not too many players online (i.e. none), probably due to the price. Wish it was less, but it was definitely worth the $14.99!
