  • Zazou knows how to ask for a lead change! horses can be green and still jump 3'6" to 4 feet! green means not as much experiance, it doesnt mean that a horse can only go over a cross rail!

  • he's not a typical textbook perfect hunter, but i still REALLy like him, especially as an eq. horse. and to all of you people who said that Zazou doesn't know how to ask for a lead change, you're insane.

  • @HannieTheShowJumper Oh yea because that horse sure does look like a pushbutton. Dumbass.

  • *cough* pushbutton...

  • The horse landed cross-cantering and a lot of horses almost get mad at themselves for landing cross-cantering. I don't think the crow hop had anything to do with how Zazou asked for the change, it was just the horse getting mad at himself for landing wrong. It's hard to get back the pace and the horse's attention after a temper tantrum like that and she did an excellent job.

  • She deff knows how to ask for a change. My guess is that her horse got slightly unbalanced before the change and just missed it behind a few times it happens to everyone, the horse and rider both did well especially for it being dark out

  • That horse did multiple lead changes and everyone is freaking out about how he didn't get one lead. Wow. I think this was a great round. I like how she went really foreward which i mean, foxhunters gallop to chase the foxes. They didn't do the slow canter all horse do now. And if this horse puts itself in a frame by itself who cares. He has natural self carriage. And while his movement isn't perfect for the hunter ring, I wish more hunter rounds were as forward and exciting as this.

  • haha she is a much better rider than that horse gives her credit for! :p

  • she has obviously proven that she can do a lead change! she WON maclay finals

  • Clocktower Optimist is not from Europe, he was bred by Clocktower Farms in Abbotsford, British Columbia (Canada). Zazou is an excellent rider (and very young, too!) and her and Optimist do excellent together. He is an extremely talented horse, and if you have the ability to ride a horse of his size and calibre, you would know just how talented she is, also. She didn't win the Maclay for nothing! Richard Spooner did an excellent job in chooosing this horse for Zazou, if you ask me.

  • she WON the maclay and got SECOND in the medal. she clearly can ask for a change. this horse is certainly not a packer and zazou does a wonderful job on him.
