Well then, this is where things get even more serious.
One thing in advance, I hate Ran's second non-spellcard pattern. Many of the other ones, too.
Her spellcards, on the other hand, are a lot of fun, lots and lots of it.
Her first spellcard is best solved by moving not much, if at all. The thing is directional and it's easy to lose track.
During the second non-spellcard pattern I screwed up a bit, if not a lot, but luckily I managed to make up for that by capturing her second spellcard. Keep in mind that Ran follows you, so dodge as much as you please.
Following this things get a little easier as far as non-spellcard patterns are concerned. The third spellcard isn't too difficult to handle either, even though I screwed up this time, much to my dismay.
Captured her fourth spellcard for the first time, though, which more than made up for that.
The same goes for the fifth spellcard, this one really isn't too bad if you keep your wits about you. I tried different strategies here, but this one works best for me.
Dying with three bombs immediately afterwards was more than a minor annoyance, though. Guess I was feeling to secure, well, serves me right!
The sixth spellcard is quite awesome, mainly because of the aesthetics. Too bad I don't have much experience with it, as with most spellcards that require this kind of movement (you seriously don't want to see me take on Flandre's Maze of Love). Just make sure to get out of the respective next manji's reach in time and move properly when it's time for the red one.
As for the next spellcard, I think I finally found out how to handle it during this run, I'll keep that in mind.
Seems like you can approach Ran and escape along with the current knives, dodging the next wave at the same time. Gonna have to try that, really wish the game had Spell Card Practice.
As you can see, I could not quite muster the courage to push forward during the last non-spellcard pattern, but in the end I just wanted to play it safe since I had a good chance of clearing the stage.
The eighth spellcard went better than usual, I had to use a bomb, but I got used to the movements, just stay out of Chen's way, meaning that you have to aim for higher or lower spots depending on where she is. Just don't go for the sides, dodging the bullets Chen launches might become a bit difficult if you do. It's too bad nervousness tends to get the better of me once I get too far.
The second to last spellcard is a battle of endurance, this was my second time facing it. The good thing is, I finally found out how big the hitboxes of the lasers are. The bad thing is, I had three bombs when I found out and was caught off-guard. Regardless, managed to survive and had an entire life to spare for the last spellcard.
This one is quite similiar to both Yuyuko's and Remiliar's first non-spellcard patterns. Being used to Mokou's first spellcard also helped a lot here, especially because I faced this one for the first time.
Naturally, it gets more difficult and, as it turned out, I needed every last bomb I had.
I really need to work on dealing with my nervousness, took three breaks during this run I think. Regardless, I'm glad to have cleared my second Extra stage, next up is hard mode!
Necro-fantasy > Necrofantasia, amirite?

That's something I've been wondering about for quite some time, I always thought Necro-fantasy had something more sinister about it, but after facing Yukari myself 10 minutes ago (never watched a video of the fight) I'd have to say the mood is much, much darker. Scary!
Though I'd have to agree as far as which one is better is concerned, I think I still like Necro-Fantasy more.
