Great blog and video, man. My insurance finally approved the Continuous Glucose Monitor (same as yours), and I should get it on Wednesday. I am excited, mostly from a technology standpoint, being a tech guy and all. The most important benefit of this will be the fact that my family will have peace of mind, and not have to worry about me going extremely low (I'm talking like...12) and having to call 911 in the early morning.

Hello! I am diabetic type 1 from Italy,starting to try sensor medtronic.I want to use the thigh for the sensor and abdomen for pump,because I don't want to wear out the skin of abdomen, but nobody tells me if I can use the thigh for sensor.In your opinion,is possible using thigh for the last medtronic sensor (the perpendiculare one with the serter in the shape of cupola)?

Great video. Does it hurt when inserted?

@Bruker1149 Around 1200-1300$

Can it work with an animas pump?

Cute guy!

Update: I have been using my medtronic paradigm pump for a month now and my sugars levels have never been better! I'm about two weeks away from starting the CGM. Woo-hoo!

how much did it cost?

Thanks!!! - Well done
thanks for this video. i'm using injections right now, but i'm thinking about adding a CGM to my plan. it will be a hassle to deal with this process (if i were to get this particular device), but it will give me such valuable data concerning my current lifestyle and dosages. i just hate to be wearing something again (i was on the pump for about 8 years).

@patm718 You definitely have to consider the fact that you have to wear another device, but you're right, the data it gives you is very addictive! At the moment I am not using it (as I would have to self-fund) but I plan to in the future when I am finished with school!

Great video! I will be getting my minimed paradigm and CGMS system in a month or so. I couldn't be more excited. I'm a type 1 since I was 12 (41 years) and this will be my first pump. Thanks for putting this up!
