Note that they said the defender was a rookie. In college football this would not have been called. College football is a rougher game than professional football. More of an effort is being made to protect millionaires (any 1st round qb is set for life after his rookie season) than 18-22 year old college kids.
Absolutely no one will agree with me, but I'm actually glad they made this call. I am the biggest advocate in the world of "lettin' the boys play", and I am completely against all the wussy rules regarding helmet-helmet contact, etc. But as a former QB and Punter, I must agree with the call because there was absolutely no reason for Wilkerson to take those extra 3 steps just to shove Campbell. It's rarely ever called correctly, but it's a rule and should be enforced. Lay off or make it count!

@specificdynamix
doesn't excuse the horrible call made in the first place. and tacking on the intentional grounding call just means they get to do the play over now.
