It is absurd because here in the Philippines you have to pay for your training or apply as a volunteer for you to gain experience. No wonder some of nurses chose to work in call centers.

i love nurses! lets respect them.

Watching this kind of video is one of my hobby and this one is one the articles that i put my interest with. Becoming a medical assistant means that you will need to be a team player on a health care team. Depending on your particular employer will determine what tasks and job duties you may be given.

@purplefashion03 Thankyou for that observation. I ve been a nurse for seven years, love the profession but the attitude of employees ( slave mentality), patients, families, endless state regulations , workload ( putting lives at risk), rude and sneaky colleagues makes me wonder if I can continue with nursing. My health at the end matters.

Sorry some of you can't find work. I am a nurse and I have always had income. My hospital calls at least once a week wanting me to work extra. Sure, we have periods of low patient census, but they are few and far between. No, conditions are not always ideal; patients and their families can be rude, some get physical, doctors can be horrible (bad attitude, skills and lack of concern), and nurses can be really nasty to each other and frequently promote gossip. But I still deal & love it.

@spacemanfla hahaha so true XD

Being a nurse is one of the most crucial & complicated jobs... yet one of the best!
I just hope that nurses (in the Philippines) be paid higher, since the work is no joke ^^

I see how many recent grads can't find a job in nursing. That was the ONLY thing good about nursing, jobs were available. Now new grads can't find work. What a suck ass occupation, in 3 months I get another degree, then I throw my BSN in the trash. If I had a bird, I would use it for cage liner.

@singhisking853 There is no nursing shortage, but of course there will always be need for nurses. The problem is WAY too many people are going into it thinking that there is this jobs left and right , and that's not the case. A lot of new graduates can't find jobs at hospital.

@thendino1 yeah they should get paid like doctors...after all there is no difference between a doctor and a nurse right???? Now Nurses can call themselves Doctors too. (Sarcasm on)
I read recently that the trend has reversed somewhat? Too many nurses, so salaries and opportunities have declined. But that may be regional....
