Not even near to the first Mario Kart for the SNES.

why didnt they call it atario kart. it wouldve brought them that much closer to ripping off nintendo
-
Music sounds like an european amiga game no doubt
-
@rahungry not really, their failure was more due to poor management and the lack of direction and leadership by the owners (the Tramiel family).

@MattTheSaiyan Well said. Its funny how everyone these days is a video-game programmer and they think they know everything about a RISC architecture.
BUT, I think most of us can agree that Atari's in-your-face marketing based on their 64-bit architecture was quite shameless. Personally, I think its all about the RAM and processor speed (which Jag had plenty of for the time), I like my games fast and smooth!

Good game, very flawed but still reasonably fun. Also, people who think "bits equals graphics" should be turned into soylent green.

@rahungry And the point of coming here to say this was what?. We all know Atari went under, thank you for telling us something everyone already knows and happened years ago. You deserve a slow clap and a condescending pat on the head.

This is why Atari died. ZERO creativity.

I'm noticing a trend on Jaguar games.
Many are missing music, but the ones that do have music have amazing music.

Most of the games dont show Jaguars full power. For a start listen to the fantastic music in this video.
Dang, the YouTube video quality rather mucked this one up... I can't even read the menu options, it's so pixelated.
Still, you can tell that this is a darn impressive game in terms of graphics and frame rate. The track detail is beautiful. This is definitely the best looking Jaguar racing game I've seen thus far. Too bad about the control issues.

One of these days I'll replace the video and see if I can get something in a higher quality.
I need to upgrade my capture card, anyway.

64 bit my foot.

Its "64 bitness" can not even be called into question.
Developers themselves stated the Jaguar was, indeed, a 64 bit architecture.
There's nothing to even argue about.
