I have both. Cat: always makes you pet its ass. Shoves ass in your face for attention. Hairballs that look like turds. Poops in litterbox but still smells. Plays fetch very well. Kills mice in the basement. Dog: Gives a shit about you. "Protects" the house. Can pick up on your mood, uneasiness, anxiety, whatever. Chases laser pointer way better than cats. Way better to cuddle. cats kind of remind me of big rats. even though I love my cat. it's like the evil twin that lives under the stairs.

@Tihbialdunav Not true at all. I'm a dog person and I'm definately an introvert as can be said for a lot of animal lovers in general.
