Hey Glen, great to hear from you. I've just sold my Boogie and bought another one, the F50. I want to get an extension cab for my new Boogie. It has 2 4ohm outputs but I don't know what extension cab to buy. Should I buy an 8ohm? I don't understand this whole thing about series and parallel. Am I right to choose an 8ohm cab and run the extension cab off both 4ohm?

ha ha, good stuff, erm, how to use the harmonic minor and get it to sound right, minor scales, from the bottom of the neck to the top, hybred picking tecniques or how ever you spell it, cheers. dan

Hey Dan, Good to hear from you. To be honest the harmonic minor is pretty redundant but your best bet is to remember that all it is is a natural minor with a raised 7th. So your best bet is to learn the natural minor in at least 2 positions. By the way the melodic minor also has a raised 6th, so in the key of E minor we would play E, F#, G, A, B, C#, D#, E). Or a quicker way of thinking about it is an E major scale with a flattened 3rd.

what have you been doing to that guitar?

i know all shapes of the natural minor, and know a shape of the harmonic minor, i jus have trouble using it in solo's, im fiding it difficult to come up a solo in songs in a major key, i use a bit of the lydian, mixolydin, major, and use the minor scale of the chords relative minor, i just think all my 'skills' need a bit of brushing up on really.
