The first part of the video shows me fairly close hauled and I was going around 6 mph over ground. The 2nd part of the video shows me on a broad reach and I was hitting over 8 miles per hour. I held up 8 fingers right at the end. Shortly thereafter I hit 9. I wasn't actually trying for the fastest possible speed because the water temperature was still faily cold and I wanted to remain safe and in control the entire time. I felt the wind was too strong that day to put the spinnaker up.
