@Goobster1920 An ancient? LMAO so what, Zack is the first class SOLDIER Cloud was claiming he was, so? xD Cloud's love interest? As far as I know Cloud likes Tifa, not Aeris, she was Zack's girlfriend. Zack was Cloud's best friend, the one who gave him the Buster Sword, the one who save his ass, etc, etc, etc. so what? xD He is a VERY important character.

I hate him, but I am realist lol. Agree to disagree then, cool.

@supersonic2012 No, it's stated by the creators that Sephiroth wasn't exerting himself nor even using a fraction of his powers, he used basic swordsmanship and still dominated Cloud.

Starting from a basis, I think Zack would win, he's far more experienced in combat than Cloud. Cloud never made it into SOLDIER, he was just an ordinary ShinRa infantryman. On the other hand, Zack joined SOLDIER at the same age and trained almost his whole life as a 1st Class SOLDIER.

Heck yeah! Squall is bad ass...ff8 had such a well developed world with a story that had tons of potential for continuity. 7 is fun, I like the materia system and all. But the characters, story and setting were sooooo boring. Too much of a steam punk mess. I think alot of people misinterpret nostalgia for quality. Alot of people didn't like the junctioning system in 8 though, not sure why. Once you get used to it, it's pretty sick. Still I own both 7 and 8 lol.

Squall is by all means a better warrrior,more trained,more focused.. But you cant downplay Cloud, Seph took away everything that he loved.. His hero his love.. Played with his mind .. Cloud was soul searching for like 80% of VII, The biggest obstacle for both heroes was Realization, Cloud needed to realize who he really was, Squall needed to realize that he needs to connect with his emotions.

Both at the start were stoic warriors,Then grew on to be themselves.
