RESILIENT ENERGETIC METROPOLITANS
ABSTRACT : Traffic attracts more traffic and the development of cities is determined by traffic flow and the grids that interweave. This project sets out to eventually remove most of these roads by proposing a high speed rail system from Auckland's North Shore into a rail station at the city's waterfront, thereby relieving urban sprawl and congested parking. I set out to make the design truly visionary and resilient to the future. It's an ultimate public Railway station using 'force' to actually shape and form its interiorities.

'Today's transport methods require a total rethink if the world must resile.'

ANTICIPATING THE FUTURE :The setting is presumed in the year 2080 where the rail would accommodate suitable carrier designs which collectively utilize a cleaner energy source. Once in operation, physicists would re-focus and seek out new methods of energies rather than redeveloping old energy sources. Perhaps tapping into our earth's core magnet as a source of energy would become reality.

AFTER THE GRID: My belief is that Resilient Architecture will emerge as a new praxis to future architecture. The deployment of safe G-force utilizations for the REM Rail Station projects the design far beyond future expectations. This design projection makes allowances for speeds so extraordinary, that it renders the traditional premeditated city-grid design obsolete. The grid becomes entirely guided by the alpha REM project's capabilities.

The R.E.M design will :
• change the way we think about transport
• Relieve congested roads to make way for parklands
• Be totally self sufficient
