building a log cabin or log house on the liard river near the town of fort simpson n.w.t. learning as we go enjoying the bushlife in the north west territories a good break from my ironworking in calgary alberta (how's that for a description) oh yeah, and one damn good looking son of a buck, and not forgetting my younger brother marcel.

why the base is so high from the ground?

@Valdris1987 snow, lots of snow in the winter, so the higher the better because i don't want to redo the bottom logs due to rot.

hey been waiting for some time posting any more vids on your cabin ? or do you still plan on finshing it .

@atvguy63 oh yeah, this winter we will get the logs for the roof trusses and the floor cut down and brought to site by skidoo. then i'll have more video to put up and show the finished exterior.
