Very rare clip from my old vhs tape of The Cure playing on a foreign TV show.This is a strange one..robert playing snare on bass guitar:),simon playing on twisted guitar.But they dont care..and smile cunningly.Track is 'A Forest'.No idea what country or show it is..all I know is its from October 1980.Enjoy ;-)

Think they did this because they were pissed off at having to mime.. there's also a clip of them doing the same on Australian 80's music show Countdown! On that show they played with ridiculously loose strings! ha.. nice attitude.

they were great at writing good songs that were still simple enough to be able to play live however much acid they were on

come on, obviously a mime job. For a start, the audio is the studio version, and secondly Smith is playing bass, Simon is playiing guitar! lol

@deismusique To make it obvious they're miming.. look for them doing this on old music show in Australia: Countdown. So funny. They have the strings ridiculously loose. ha! Must've been pissed-off that they had to mime.

The inversion of their guitr/bass was to pull of production's leg, because they were filmed on a play-back

I love this!! It is so great to see an old appearance of them and you gotta love them being onry and switching up on the instruments!! Rebels for days!! lol And Robert just looks amazing!! :)) I have loved The Cure for 26 years now and it will go on forever!!! The Cure is such an amazing and awesome band who have truly stood the test of time!! Robert is just amazing in every aspect!! I love it all! The Cure forever!!
