A short clip from Star Trek III The Search For Spock where Scotty is about to leave his new post on the USS Excelsior after sabotaging it so he can join Kirk on the Enterprise to go find Spock against the will of Starfleet. Scotty isn't best impressed by all the new fancy things on the USS Excelsior including the talking turbolift and their supposed transwarp drive!

  • Best line in the entire movie :D

  • *Film fact*

that's Leonard (Spock) as the elevator voice

    :)

  • How can you have a yellow alert in space dock? /the smuggest of all faces

  • Anyone notice the computer's voice in the turbolift is Leonard Nimoy (AKA Spock)?

  • BEST. SCOTTY. LINE. EVER.

  • i dont like how the new movie makes them seem like idiots, no serious scenes its just goofy acting with to many "funny" situations

  • @Jamescs007 I'm guessing it's Commander Beach from the Reliant played by Paul Kent. Uncredited, but that's his voice as far as I can tell. "Full power available" anyway. Female voice other than Majel was Teresa Victor.

  • This is Scotty's first appearance in his Captain of Engineering uniform. His shirt and jacket epaulets are gold, the Engineering Dept. color. In Star Trek IV, Scotty's shirt changed to white, worn by commanding officers, even though he and his shipmates are otherwise wearing the same clothes from the end of this movie.

  • "...Looking forward to breaking some of the Enterprise's speed records tomorrow."

"Eh heh, yessir." You can practically hear this in Scotty's head as that fake smile dissolves: "Man, I hate that bastard!"

Funny enough that Leonard Nimoy was the voice of the lift. Scotty's comeback was perfect. RIP James Doohan, we miss you!
