Nice review and stove, Grizz. But, serious question: rather than carry a smutty stove, if burning wood is the goal, why not 3-4 pot-supporting rocks with a small kindling fire inside it. Nothing smutty to carry (assuming one can find rocks).

@coolkayaker1 used to be one could get a titaninum folding grill, weighed maybe 1 oz. Save yourself from having to find rocks. Of course it will have some soot...
